Late Blossom

Late Blossom is the musical and artistic vision of Jason Peter Shelburne, a singer-songwriter, producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist.

His work reflects a lifetime of creative exploration across music, film, visual art, and technology.

After decades spent writing, recording, and experimenting across genres - from early four-track recordings and indie-influenced DIY to EDM production and live rave shows and then back to psychedelic pop - he now returns with a personal and fully realized artistic voice.

Late Blossom blends decades of musical influence into a cinematic mix of indie rock, psychedelic pop, funk, soul, r&b, jazz and atmospheric songwriting rooted in timeless themes and modern production.

Drawing inspiration from artists spanning the 1960s to today, Late Blossom creates infectious hook-drenched songs that are both nostalgic and new — immersive, melodic, and catchy!

On the concept of "Late Blossom"

Some songs, like flowers, arrive exactly when they are meant to.

Jason's artistic vision:

I’m making music not just for myself but to also give back - creating and sharing songs that connect, uplift, and bring the same kind of joy music has given me my entire life.

The Late Blossom Philosophy of Songwriting

To create songs that:

Inspire.  Uplift.  Bring joy.

You don’t just listen to, but feel.

Pull you in and carry you from beginning to end.

Linger in your mind for days.

Reveal something new with every return.

Are worth listening to again and again.
